WHAT SHOULD WE USE AS OUR TEXT?

Does anyone have any text suggestions?

I would personally like to explore the origins of the practice and the different types of witches and or crafts. Also how various types of witches worship/practice within one group. These may be too broad of a topic, but for someone such as myself it is always good to start at the beginning.

For sure! There are a LOT of literature options out there but I have been researching all night and a lot of writers don't have very good reviews. I know Mary like Silver Ravenwolf but she had a lot of bad reviews, mostly in that she would call for materials for a ceremony and then when describing a ceremony would never use some of the materials.

It appears we will be safe going with anything by Scott Cunningham is safe, I know he is specifically Wiccan but I read his works can be applied to any element of the craft.

There is another writer who wrote mostly about Natural witchcraft...Erin something...I cannot remember her name but she has been practicing for decades.

Can anyone provide a list of books they already own and their suggestions on what we may use or one perhaps we can all start with that will take us through the basics until we can move on to something more?

This book looks like it could be a good "script" for our rituals as we craft our own Book of Shadows (BOS). This link lets you preview. I think this paired with a couple of texts on basics and ethics may be good. Thoughts?

I am going to buy us a nice BOS we can all add to and get a wooden box we can bless to store it in.

So I guess our first official grove ritual will probably be the awakening of our grove and circle and a blessing of our BOS?

I have a Few books by Edain McCoy, "Advanced Witchcraft", "A Witches Guide to Feary Folk", "Astral Projection for Beginners". I have not really read them but they could come in handy to reference things. I actually have lots of books lol. I can post the names to them all here, but I think I will just bring them with myself to our first gathering and we can browse through them. I only glace through the one you posted Sara, but it looks good to me!
